VALL 9U Local Tournament Rules / Regulations

1. Sportsmanship is expected for all players, coaches and spectators. This is an invitation only LL – special games tournament.
2. Little League regular season rules apply (Minors Division). The only exceptions are for time limits (no time limits) and no drop third strikes. Mercy rules apply (15 after 3, 10 after 4 and 8 after 5).
3. Mandatory play, per LL rule book, is required. The batting order will be continuous. Pitch counts, affidavits and rest days are required per the LL rule book.
4. Hot dogs, water, and chips will be provided after each game.
5. Home team will be determined via a coin flip prior to each game, no later than 45 minutes prior to first pitch or as soon as a coach/manager of each team is present. At VALL the third base side is home and first base is the visitor side.
6. The intent is that all players on the 9U team are not playing on any other All-Star teams for your league. This tournament was designed to give younger teams the opportunity to compete in a postseason tournament.
7. Managers must have their players' medical release forms on hand.
8. Regular season uniforms can be worn.
9. There will be one minute allowed for warmups between innings. Coaches can warm up pitchers.
10. If the game is tied after 6 innings, then the 7th inning will start with the last batter from the previous inning on second base, per LL rules.
11. The tournament shall have a 5-run limit per half inning in all innings except for the 6th inning. In the 6th inning the number of runs shall be unlimited.
12. Maximum of three coaches per dugout.
13. Infield/outfield practice prior to game time will be determined by the tournament director based on field availability and start times (i.e. desired but not guaranteed).
14. Support is needed for balls, scoreboard operators, announcers, etc. Non-coaches can help prep fields.
15. Walk-up songs and pre-recorded player name announcements are allowed.
