Vacaville American Little League All Star Selection Process:

At the start of each season, the league President will select an All-Star Committee consisting of board members of the upcoming season.

  1. Process for selecting managers / coaches.
    1. Potential managers would be interviewed by the all-star committee. The all-star committee would recommend a manager (and coaches) who would then go to the board for approval. The manager will be selected ahead of the managers meeting. The manager will be selected from the division where a majority of the players are coming from.
  2. Process for selecting players:
    1. Teams shall vote and each player shall nominate three players from their team.
    2. All managers will vote for up to twelve players per “league age” team for the division that they managed in (i.e. managers from majors will not vote for league age 10 players, unless they are nominating a league age 10 player for the league age 11 or league age 12 team).
    3. A managers meeting will be held to review the player votes and manager votes and to discuss the players.
    4. A meeting will be held with the four all star managers (9u, 10u, 11u and 12u), plus league representation (a combination of the President, Vice President, Coaches Coordinator and /or Player Agent). Rosters will be finalized at this meeting. In the event of two teams wanting to select the same player, the older team will take priority.
    5. The requirement of representing all teams on an all-star team is being removed, although with the recent addition of the 9u team the goal is to have each team represented.
    6. All yard signs will go out on the same night – Memorial Day Weekend.
